Lumen Suite
An exploration of AI-assisted mental health support through three concepts: Ember for depression and anxiety, Clarity for ADHD-related challenges, and SafeHouse for PTSD. Personal experiences and people I care about gave the work its direction.

The question
Could AI help people feel better supported through difficulties that are often hard to explain to someone else?
I was interested in how different those needs can be. Depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD can shape a person’s day in very different ways. I wanted to explore what tools designed with those differences in mind might look like.
The approach
I organized Lumen around three concepts.
Ember focused on support related to depression and anxiety. Clarity explored ADHD-related challenges. SafeHouse focused on PTSD and was conceived in honor of my dad.
Giving each idea its own focus let me think more carefully about the people it was intended for and what useful support might mean in their lives.
Where it stands
Lumen Suite is an archived exploration. These remain experimental concepts, with no claim of clinical validation or established treatment effectiveness.
Any future development would need careful work around privacy, appropriate boundaries, professional input, and evidence of benefit.
What stays with me
SafeHouse made this especially personal.
When an idea is connected to someone you love, you keep thinking about the person who might eventually use it. You want to understand their experience well enough to offer something that helps.
That care was the starting point for Lumen, and it’s something I want to carry into whatever I build next.
