My first exploration of private labeling and putting my own brand behind a product. It became another useful step in figuring out what I wanted to create and what I wanted my name to mean.
The question
What would it be like to build a product brand of my own?
I wanted to explore a different side of entrepreneurship, with more ownership over the identity surrounding what I was selling. Lazy Lacez was my first attempt at private labeling.
The approach
I explored the private-label model through a brand of my own.
It gave me a different perspective from general resale and dropshipping. Having my name attached to the venture also made the question of product value feel more personal.
Where it stands
Lazy Lacez is a completed early venture. It remains part of the experience that helped shape my direction as a builder and business owner.
What stays with me
I want to feel good about asking someone to spend money on something I helped create.
Exploring these early businesses helped me understand how much that matters to me. I’m far more interested now in developing something useful enough that I’m excited to explain why it exists.
